Abstract:

The bank regulator Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation sought public comment on updates and reforms to its CAMELS bank rating system. CASI faculty affiliates submitted a comment letter urging the FDIC to update its rating methodology and provide greater transparency of bank ratings to customers and market participants.
