The article focuses on the advantages brought by the gig economy on older workers in the U.S. It offers overview of the meaning and concept of the gig economy which served as a promising way to increase labor supply of the said workers, allowing them to ease into retirement where they can choose hours and intensity of work. However, it also reminds that the gig economy's compensation-based-on-productivity nature can pose a challenge for older workers.
